Message all honesty, I'm just glad that the engine stayed together. You know I had very little faith in the bottom end of that motor given what had happened to the #4 rod bearing.

At this point, having put this kind of power through it, my only conclusion on the rod bearing failure is that it must have happened back when your sport600's had the actuator hose issue and overspooled the passenger turbo, leading to the driver's side of the engine to begin detonating on #4.

The oil pressure in your engine has been kick-a$$ since the bearing replacement and it hasn't wavered one bit since. I think we have put about 40 dyno-pulls on the engine since the bearing replacement in the 4 visits we have made, along with the 200-some-odd miles that it has seen during that time as well.

I didn't want to run the ignition timing up on your engine specifically for the fact that the engine ate up the #4 bearing. The tune is as conservative as it could be without going ridiculously rich or having excessive EGTs. Again, I'm just glad for the both of us that the engine stayed together, and even more delighted in that it appears to be in really healthy shape. I feel pretty confident at this moment that we could have made appreciably more power, but on the same token, 666RWHP at 26psi of boost, ~11.7:1 A/F and the ignition timing we were using leaves a LOT of headroom for safety.
